I was looking at the ceiling and the I saw the sky, une oeuvre de John Adams, l'un des compositeurs américains les plus joués au monde. Ici, il ne s'agit ni d'une comédie musicale, ni d'un concert, ni d'un opéra, mais un peu de tout ça en même temps. Certains parleront d'opéra pop, ou d'opéra moderne, un peu à la manière de Starmania. C'est en tout cas une œuvre rare, qui n'a pas été montée en France depuis 1995.
